Rob Ketterson has focused for 25+ years on private investment opportunities in IT, software and tech-enabled services. In 2010, Rob was Founding Partner at Volition Capital, a technology growth equity firm where he remains a senior advisor. Rob also invests his own capital in private technology companies directly often through Search Fund-sourced projects. Rob’s current board directorships include Fairwinds Ops, PlayerLync, Swoogo and Concierge Plus
Prior to being Founding Partner of Volition Capital, Rob was Managing Partner at Fidelity Ventures and Fidelity Private Equity (private technology investment arm of Fidelity Investments). While at Fidelity, Rob headed the US and Europe private equity investment teams with ~$2B under management.
Rob has historically invested in and served on the boards of a number of successful technology companies recently including: Black Duck Software (acquired by Synopsys), Ping Identity (acquired by Vista Equity), FastSpring (acquired by AccelKKR), FieldEdge (acquired by Advent International). He has also previously served on the Boards of both the New England Venture Capital Association (NEVCA) and National Venture Capital Association (NVCA).
Rob received an undergraduate degree in computer engineering with a minor in marketing from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
